Façade

Façade is a series that explores the exterior of buildings, in particular the focus on the home. This body of work looks into the tradition that the front door was used as a method of exhibiting wealth, style and personal tastes for passers-by and visitors to spectate. This series poses the question as to whether these qualities still exist today and if so what knowledge we can gain from a spectators point of view.

Through isolation of specific details this enables such elements to stand alone emphasising the shape, colour and composition of the scene and the power these small details can have to give an indication of the owner’s personality, sense of fashion and overall style.
