This project focuses on derelict and overgrown bunkers from the Second World War. Created as means of protecting either people or machines, they are withered away now, swallowed up by wild nature.
This contrast is mirrored in the visual language. The romance of the woods is being disturbed by the concrete structures and the association of dismay. Hereby, an ambivalence is being created, addressing the positive effects of distancing, but also the risk of forgetting.
