Range & Basin
I find my best inspiration from the great American road trip, and my best images are captured when I travel with nobody but my camera. My latest series, Range & Basin, explores rural Texas and its various landscapes threatened by environmental degradation due to suburban development.
Rows of abandoned main street storefronts have turned many of these small towns into a time capsule from a forgotten era.
Parking lots and Walmarts dot the landscape where communities once thrived. In the three trips I’ve taken across Texas over the last two years, many of my preconceived notions have been shattered. It’s my hope to document these misunderstood communities and shine a new light on their importance to our cultural fabric.
