This series of photographs is a conceptual approach to an investigation into an individual’s life and their activities throughout a period of 24 hours. During this time, I followed the subject everywhere she went and photographed whatever she did with the expectation that something interesting might happen.
There was one rule: we were not allowed to talk to each other from the beginning to the end of the 24 Hours in order to avoid direction or interference with the natural response of the subject. Instead of this, we texted each other, out of necessity, and to act as a record of any interaction. Along with this, it addresses realisations about daily life such as boredom, repetitiveness and loneliness with the reality that something spectacular is unlikely to occur.
