Heim

The  series of Marcin Bańdo photographs called “Heim” ( “Home” in Icelandic) is an intimate scrapbook; a set of reality clippings noticed by the author.

They are filled with explosive emotionality; and directly show rough and imperfect side of everyday life. This world seems to be a mixture of dangerous intimacy, strong personal relation with presented situations and a distance and cold registration. Simplicity of scenes becomes a violent overtone.

Portraits of author’s family, friends and parts of bodies are combined with a photos of space and abstract, nonevident compositions.
