“My goal in showing my photographies is to give a message, to document, and to show that the old “America” is still present. “
Larry Niehues’ passion for America has grown since his early childhood in the south of France. At the age of 22, Larry packs his bags and heads to Mcallen in south Texas.
Following the footsteps of Bruce Davidson, William Eggleston and Dennis Hopper, he embarks on the great American tradition of the road trip. On his way down to California, camera in hand, he candidly captures the American landscape.
